Broadway Panhandler is a family-owned and operated gourmet cookware store based in New York City. As one of the earliest fine cookware stores in New York, this no frills company has focused on bringing quality imported goods and products at a great value to it's customers since 1976.
Having been around for decades, Broadway Panhandler's branding and website needed a refresh to bring the same standards for quality into their aesthetic while improving functionality and overall flow of their complicated, multi-layered e-commerce website. The new logo reflects their quirky personality and references their Broadway New York roots while, the redesigned site offers an organized layout, intuitive navigation and opportunities for a more engaging user experience with features such as wish lists, recommended items, interactive twitter and blog highlights, as well as special events and important sale announcements to enhance marketing efficacy.

MyBankTracker is an independent online resource that helps consumers make smarter banking and financial decisions. In addition to editorial content, MyBankTracker provides free rate and bank information to consumers on more than 7,000 banks and 30,000 financial products, including credit cards, savings, checking, mortgage and general banking fees.

I selected quotes by classic women of the same era yet, of very different public spheres to further highlight the universal relevance of their wisdom.
The Rock Candy brand consists of a playful identity and bright engaging packaging to complement it's fun rock & roll theme which honors the great rock & roll legends of the 50's and 60's. Details such as clever candy flavor names correspond to artists such as Chuck Berry and songs such as Tutti Frutti and "The Twist" (ie. "Very Berry Bubblegum", "Tutti Frutti Fruit Chews", and "Twist Mist Flavored Twists"). In addition to the nostalgic form of the jukebox, a perforated opening makes for easy instant access while the corresponding colors of the packaging to the candies further add to the delightful charm and unique consumer interaction with this retro brand of rockin' candies and it's naturally intuitive experience.
Beautiful Losers is an independent documentary about the DIY movement, a phenomenon born out of rebellion and the necessity for an outlet of expression. The film follows a group of creative individuals who championed the idea of beauty in imperfection and "making something from nothing" through various interviews and highlights of their unintentional journey from care-free, rebellious youths to internationally recognized, vastly influential artists today.
While designing this limited edition DVD packaging, I focused heavily on the user experience and wanted to incorporate interesting revealing elements that allowed for something more than just a plain DVD case while aiming to clearly communicate the documentary's message through its branding. Many of the elements found throughout the film such as graffiti and tagging, street art, skateboard deck art, exhibitions and individuality served as inspiration for the aesthetic.
Southern Sugar Baking Co. is a southern company that offers various goods and convenient baking products for the modern day at-home baker.
The brand and packaging was designed and developed to evoke the sweetness and charming hospitality of the South. In addition to individually engineered forms and unique die cuts, a softer color palette and subtle motifs were utilized for a cohesive and recognizable brand aesthetic. Occasional accent colors along with simply illustrated graphics serve as an identification system by coordinating with each product variation while creating further visual interest throughout the line of varied products.
A Brooklyn based toy company that focuses on simple educational toys hand-crafted of solid, sustainable wood. An iconic toy truck with tires that resemble gears were incorporated to represent playful imagination and learning at work.
Ladybug Pull Toy
Meant for children ages 2-4 the Ladybug Pull Toy teaches little ones to match shapes on their hand-carved wooden friend. The toy is designed with fun springy antennas, rounded edges for safety and rubberized wheels for ease of gliding.
Myrtle the Turtle
The Myrtle the Turtle wooden block puzzle teaches little ones shapes and color recognition in relation to various fruits all while having fun with an interactive fictional friend that further encourages creativity and imagination.
City Splash Poster
City Splash is an annual summer event that aims to educate New York City children with fun interactive experiences at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. The goal was to advertise in a way that both appeals to children and informs adults with distinctive elements unique to the event yet, overall representative of the museum.

I drew inspiration from old apothecaries and soda shoppes for my flat vector illustrations and aimed to create a sweet yet charming, nostalgic feel that both children and adults alike could enjoy and reminisce upon.
